• Password Analyser Tool New

  Built a Password Analyser using the zxcvbn algorithm to assess password strength by identifying patterns, common structures, and known breached passwords. Provides real-time, actionable feedback to improve password security. All processing is done server-side with Python and Flask, ensuring no password data is stored or transmitted. • Custom SIEM Monitoring Dashboard

  Developed a SIEM dashboard for a Flask web application to monitor security and user activity. Implemented SQLite logging of login attempts, page views, and rate limit violations, capturing IP addresses and timestamps. Built a real-time monitoring interface displaying concurrent users, per-IP page view counts, and recent security events. Integrated rate limiting to block excessive requests and CSRF-protected actions to clear logs.

• Real-World DDoS Attack Detection with Neural Networks

  Final-year dissertation exploring machine learning-based detection of DDoS attacks. Implemented multiple Artifical Neural Networks using Pytorch and Scikit-learn to classify attack traffic into normal or malicious. Evaluated multiple datasets and preprocessing methods for real-world applicability.
• Cybersecurity Portfolio Website (amcrobie.dev)

  Portfolio site built using Flask and Jinja2 to host cybersecurity projects, CTF writeups, and contact functionality. Includes routing, authentication, message handling, and dynamic display features. Uses SQLite for backend storage, bcrypt for password hashing, and CSRF protection on all forms. Deployed on a Linux VPS using Nginx and Gunicorn. Security features include input sanitisation to prevent XSS and SQL injecitons, secure headers (CSP, HSTS), and rate limiting.
